Listen: Mohammad Magzoob - Allah yhalli eyamak 2014 / الله يحلي ايامك - محمد المجذوب

We are years away from Star Academy, but some of its talents are still cranking out music. One of of those rare talents, Mohammad Magzoob is back with a fresh single. The boy who has turned into a full grown man with a sweet style and a smooth song.

He is a dream boat who is moving to become his own man who has feelings and experiences that he turned into songs. Slick this is how I hear him, Maghzoob is a cool cat of Lebanese pop, something we really like....he joins the ranks of the likes of Fadel Shaker, Wael Kfoury and Marwan Khoury. I like this single, but it bears more of his emotions and less of his strong voice.

Be reminded that his latest single was an Iraqi song released last month in March. It was a change and helped propel Mohammad into a new thriving market.

Rayan returns everyone...tell your young sisters he is back with a blazing hot summer single that makes him feel like the new thing. The original charming devil and babe of Lebanese pop songs returns with a happier and more romantic song than ever before.

The guy who broke our hearts with his dramatic tracks. He feels like one of these ten thousand Syrian artists, only he does it better. I did not think Rayan would do something like this, and now U see it, he did a pretty thing here. The song is about whispers, the sweet nothings lovers tell one another.

Arab Idol Sings For #Palestine Reconciliation And Unity

I have my doubts about the unity government that should be formed withing three more weeks. But I am also question weather this song about the very subject has been voiced by Arab Idol Mohammed Assaf. The voice is similar, but not the same. And I am certain there are many who can imitate Assaf's voice. Still, he could have sang this track, but it seems unlikely since at the moment he is in His second North America tour.

Has this song been confirmed to be one of his? I am all for unity and all for Assaf, but what I fear is someone using his name to publicize a new song.

The Very Best Spring Romance Song EVER By @MahmudMohey

The young vocalist with a gorgeous  smile Mahmoud Mohey, yes that young man who won Star Academy's 9th season releases his big single and his first. The catch, the song feels truly like these 80's hits. And the team behind it is all Egyptian guys who like to mix things up.

Hamid El Shaeri, the composer who made the 80s and 90s a golden pop era wrote the music. And The beloved composer Mohamed Rahim tweaked the music arrangement. The song is about spring and love. A confessional happy love fest by a young man who found something that works. Stars who become so these years, go for DJs and electronic music style that can give you seizure.

Not Mahmoud Mohey, he wanted something retro, and he got what he wanted. I knew the social media loves this young man, now I see why. This is a song that will stick around, it reminds us of the older songs that were about simpler times. Songs about sleepless nights and good weather.

Here's The Very Best Song About Growing Old

$

I like the subject of this song, it's about growing older all of sudden...you become an uncle, the one you used to love already has two kids--not yours. Your pals are leaving the country, you spot grey hair in your beard and on your sideburns...

Yes, we are all growing older and not know it, it's downhill or uphill from there. Ahmed Salem had the vision for this song, it's kept short but it will stay with you for some time. It makes you think reflect inside and see how life takes you. The song is about imagining you are in a dream and time froze when you were in junior high school.

I like how you barely notice the music, because it allows for the lyrics to get into your head.

The Karazon Sisters Join Forces For #Ghzali #Jordan (Music Video)

Good sisters are awesome. Now for Jordanian super star Diana Karazon, she was joined by her other sister Zain and the duo are singing together in this interesting music video. It's like a competition between these tow sisters to out cool the other. Diana is the star, Zain is the guest who gets to star along her sister. I think Zain is way bolder in her fashion choices and moves.

Zain is just starting in the music business after she has taken part of a singing competition program. This is the double the pleasure of the Karazon family. I like the fashion choices and head gears. Is this is a Moroccan song?

I like the energy, but I know haters are gonna hate, this may be tow much for a traditional country like Jordan. This also serves Diana well as the story of the music video went viral and the web is talking much about this interesting music video and song. Not sure if I know of any other sisters who have sang together in a music video before--I can think of two other Jordanian sisters Mai Selim and Mais Hamdan

The Virgin Mary Gets A New Christian Arabic Hymn By @CAROLE_SAMAHA

Carol Samah is in the Netherland for a concert with a live orchestra. But performing in one of the most secular spots on earth would not stop the Lebanese diva from releasing a Christian hymn for the Virgin Mary.

I did not take Carole to be a religious figure, but I did take her to be an intellect who has a brain and a sophistication to know well what goes around them. I like her showing some religious side. This is her new track released in tome for Christina holiday. Mary Ortanis wrote the beautiful lyrics, Faud Fadel composed and Michael Fadel arranged the music.

It feels like your average Piano-focused Church music one hears upon various Sunday ceremonies. This is a prayer song, supplication for the Virgin Mary. Carol ready to convert hearts and souls with her voice and grace.

Yosra Mahnouch from the Voice, the lady form Tunis who Kadem Al Saher thinks the world of returns with a new single. He was her coach on the MBC show, and he knows a good talent when he spots it. Yosra joins the many talented ladies who have worked with the Iraqi musician. Yosra is one of those many young talents, with one difference. She has something to offer than a new pair of jeans, shades and a spanking new sneakers.

I compare her voice and warmth with the likes of Asalah and Angham. So this is raising the bars, but for a young talent, Yosra is pretty good at what she does. Every few months she releases something different. Singles are a place holder for many of these young talents.

Angry Syrians Brawl In Australia Concert Over Politics And Flag (Video)

In Melbourne Australia, there was a big concert for a Syrian star Ali Al Deek who flew in to be with his country men singing songs form the motherland and showing them a good time. So the concert was groovy and all was having a good time. Until someone carried the traditional Syrian flag and then it was a shit storm.

Someone was dancing with the flag, some dude, tried to pull the flag away from the group, and then a fight broke out, people were throwing punches and elbows...ladies were getting out...and thanks to that asshole who started the riot. You may hate that flag, but it one stood for something--disagree but do not beat up those who see it differently. It's a shame Syrians once of the coolest and most sophisticated Arabs, now cannot get along. I blame the booze and political gridlock. I bet Ali Al deek was I am out of here!

You do not disrespect your own country's flag. No need to honor it, it may have been a symbol of death for some, but who the hell are you casting the first stone?

From Star Academy, here comes another young talent who is making a run for a music career...all on her solo. She has a single out and it seems her fans got the song on various social media outlets within two hours.

Menna Hany like you have never heard her before. It's actually a good song that allows her to show off some of her better vocal qualities. She sounds a lot more like a talented Sandy--the Egyptian pop star who seems to have never challenged her self.

I like Menna's emotions it land well and that takes training. This is a welcome addition to the Arabic pop library.

Remember The Future! Bedouin Groove By Hala يا ويل حالي - حلا

Hala or 7ala is a young Lebanese pop star who does not want to do your average pop songs. Instead Hala wants to do pop songs that feel old, like that white dialect and Bedouin groove. So for her second single, she went to Sobhi Mhmad and together they had a song that feels all the way from the Samira Tawfik days when she used to pack full concert halls in Jordan and at home in Lebanon.

Hala is fairly new, but she seems to appreciate what's old, and this is why she brought back a dance single that one's own grandmother can fall in love with.

" Etkhadet" Is The Most Girlie Music Video This Year By Rana Samaha

She did not win Star Academy, but Rana Samah walked away knowing she is already a star. This is why she releases a music video with the help of a team that believe in her young talent. The music video is your average stalker tale. Girl meets boy, she wants to text him, but instead she talks him on Facebook along with her girlfriends.

This song is meant for girls, and young women, they will relate to it, the disturbing part is that some dude actually wrote this girlie song. This is just girls being silly and goofing around. I think Rana will learn a lot the more time she spends in front of the camera. It's too crowded out there, but she has a real shot

Here's a cool montage of young Egyptian activists who speak truth to powers. They zing the media and the ludicrous rumors and orchestrated assault on freedom Egypt. The army wronged many, but the media is not far behind in the blame.

I think the internet allows people so much freedom, and as long as they do not make it to the old media, the government won't not much. It's if young people have their own world where they can be anything they want to be.

Hiba Tawaji Unleashes "Ya Habibi" Album Into The Wild! @hibatawaji

Hiba Thawji took Lebanon by storm when she headed to that chain record store in downtown Beirut to sing copies of her new album. "Ya Habibi", this is her second album, and once again the Rahabni family is will represented. Her very special friend Oussama Rahabni was also there.

The album has 15 tracks. There's an Egyptian and a Greek song, which is interesting. Hiba has her fans in Egypt, but this way she is really catering them with the cover of one of their most believed songs--the one by Dalida "7elwa ya baladi". I Like Hiba's voice, she is way talented for the average pop star. She has the right voice for musicals, she starred in so many of them.

She also spoke about her friendship with Carole Samaha and Elissa who shared her song on her twitter. She has a song for the Arab Spring, she will be filming a music video. This is her second solo album since the release of her celebrated 2011 debut album. She seems down to earth talking about her music, and I like two things about Hiba, she travels the world and studies music and she is open to new possibilities.

The album will satisfy your music taste and makes you want to dance and move your hand when he hear that forte voice that makes your headphone/speakers shake. I hope the marketing and the fans do their jobs to propel this rare musical experience to claim its rightful place.

Radio is not dead, just hear radio hostess Nisreen Zawahra, the radio personality beloved by celebrities. Her radio program airs in Lebanon, her home.

The blonde sounds like she is interviewing the interviewer in this quick interview with this lady who gets them to speak. Radio might not be in its finest moment, but Nisreen still believes in it and she gets to speak to all the A listers. It's true big networks pay big bucks to interview celebrities. Making it hard for Nisreen to get a call back. She started as a journalist, so she has that serious cred going for her. She likes to keep positive and not clash with her guests.

Hear her our and take a look at this journalist who is trying to breath a little bit of life into radio. She seems so proud of having interviewed the likes od Kadem Al Saher and Majida El Roumi.

Mohamed Abdel Mon'em is there guy and frankly, he is now a mainstream star. Thanks to the tens of films he sang in and these promo songs within movies.

He has a new single about living with the wounds of a failed relationship.

On Facebook She Rules! Elissa Is The Biggest Arab Name In Social Media

Elissa is a savvy entertainer, take for example the recent photo album she shared on her Facebook, this was news worthy for many news sites that I frequent. Then she showed us a picture of her best friend in London, and that was also news.

It turns out these things help Elissa to dominate the Facebook friends, fans, and likes! She toped the likes of Nancy Ajram, Tamer Hosny, and Amr Diab. Take fro example right now she has 12,265.255 friends, Tamer Hosny has a respectable number 12,240,297! Nancy has 10,887,830--also an incredible number. Myriam Faris claims 8,199,443 fans. Of course these numbers tend to go up usually with time.

This Lebanese & International singer,3 times World Music Award winner, Best selling artist in MENA is really going places. Now Elissa may never get married--she is still looking for the right guy. It's safe to assume that America's war on terror lasted longer than Elissa quest for a perfect partner. I am going to start a rumor---and you will hear it here first....Elissa and her friend Kristin may be a ticket.

She has the silkiest voice in Arabia, the brainiest lyrics, and most sophisticated music in any album released by an Arab artist. Hiba Tawaji just released her second album, and she is offering 16 chances for us to get to know her better. 16 tracks that tell different stories or at least same stories differently. This is an album that satisfies the nerd within you, and the artist that you never was able to become.

I am just starting to listen to this album and it will take me perhaps a week before I give an educated opinion about her latest album. To think that Hiba is the Lebanese Nora Jones is a compliment but that does not do it, Nora never challenged herself to take on complex issues. Hiba does it here for example think about her Arab Spring track. Perhaps it's because Arabs care about politics, Hiba met them half way. Here with the gifted talent of the Rahabani family, she is in good hands.

It makes sense for one to love one's country. But what does not make sense is to badmouth the hell out of your country in private but in public one feels obligated to say good things and attack those who complain. This is Egypt, worse, if you are a foreigner, they may punch you in the face for speaking ill of their beloved country that they secretly hate.

Here is a song by a nobody who is going sexy, he is singing a press release from the Egypt army that ousted a democratically elected president and now they are running for president. Mousa is attacking anyone who does not agree with the government, he is calling them haters who want to destroy Egypt. Here's a flashback, everything he is wearing, or using in this music video has been made outside of his beloved Egypt.

I love how his music video shows the army and the security forces neutral who want to preserve the peace when in face they have murdered so many civilians. Perhaps instead of releasing this song, he should get a job at some factory and contribute to Egypt's' greatness.

Reem Nasri supports President Bashar Al Assad--No Apologies #Syria

$

Usually when singers support a president with a song, we think they are brown nosing that public figure. It's one thing to support the leader and to hang with the leader, it's another to release a song in his/her support. But not Syrian artist Reema Nasri who is not your A list artist, but this time she stood to take a stand and support the president but the country first. I do not think she is crazy, she is just looking at it form a different vantage point. She sees Syria being a mess and she chooses to rally around the soft-spoken president. Others see Syria a mess and chose to rally around the revolution. I think a middle ground is a better choice. No one is happy about foreign agents and actors in Syria and sadly they are on both sides.

Reem Nasri is the young sister for Asalah who is a vocal support of the revolution--the family is being pulled into many directions. Asalah took an opposing stand and chose the change through revolution and protest. Her little sister Reem is with the current leadership and prays for unity. She does not have many songs other than the ones for Syria and Bashar. She is new to the game and seems not to be able to deflect questions of interviewers. She is attending a song launch that discredits people waging wars form religious principles. The odd thing is the talent behind the song is Kuwaiti-- a country that has its ownown divisions between liberal and conservative, but the song is about Egypt. However from Reem is may be about Syria and these religious nut-bags who have taken Syria on a Jihad.

Rim Nasri supports Bashar al assad ريم نصري شقيقة أصالة تدعم بشار الأسد

I know the moment, I see a singer wearing a military uniform, I stop watching. Really this uniform is for people who sacrifice and defend the motherland, not for self-promotion. Though in Syria, the army might not be beloved by a segment of people. As a song Reem has a really good voice, it seems sweet and romantic with complexity. The song is a love fest for the president, it's making a God from him. Even if you likes him and what he does, you do not have to make a good of him.
